PLAYGROUND!!!!

It’s taken a couple of weeks to get this put together, but here goes.  Memorial Day weekend my dad and Mary flew to Florida for a working trip!!  My dad has wanted to build a background play set for Cailynn and Carter since they were born.  After much planning and searching for just the right set and waiting until they were old enough to enjoy it, it was GO TIME!!!

We picked up the swing set from Sam’s a few weeks before they got in and inventoried all the wood and everything to make sure it was all there.  Casey also had the fun job of tilling up the backyard to prepare.  He tilled a 20 x 20 section of the yard and said it was NOT much fun!  My dad and Mary got in on Friday afternoon and we started building right away that night.  Cailynn helped put the rock wall together!

Saturday morning my dad and I got an early start.  6 AM to be exact.  We build the swing frame and a good part of the structure in the driveway before moving it to the backyard. 

We worked 6 AM to 6 PM pretty much 3 days straight!!  Cailynn was a great little helper.  Those are the only pictures I got of actually building it.  Mary took lots of pictures for us so here are a few of hers. 

It was a long hot exhausting weekend but the end result is totally worth it!  We are so thankful for my dad and Mary for not only purchasing the set, but for coming and helping build it with us.  Cailynn and Carter are going to enjoy this for years to come!!!!

Although it was a working weekend we are super glad my dad and Mary got to visit.  Cailynn loves Grandma and Grandpa so much and we have used that play set just about every day since they left!!!  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU GRANDMA AND GRANDPA!!!!
